Yes, having a social life is awesome!

For example, I never understood, firstly, people who could read a book (btw... no haiku, but a real novels) in the metro; secondly, people who sleep in the metro/bus.

Last week, having all week days' evenings fully booked:
Monday: WORK
Tuesday: Brunch with my lovely ex-roomie, Chrishara, and then Marina's farewell at a African restaurant.
Wednesday: WORK & 19h30 half-African dinnerparty (with plenty of CHAMPAGNE, like the hostess likes) at Alima's
Thursday: lunch and photo-taking trip with my canadian co-worker Hilda and 21h night out with her and her american friends at an Irish pub on St Michel
Friday: Tiny bit of work and photo taking at Marais + going through my favourite vintages (got kick-ass boots for 5eur...they had a sale!...best buy ever)
Saturday: Work & Lebanese dinner with Estelle & Elias
Sunday: Work and laundry and taking care of my place & myself.

I'll start from the beginning. Tuesday, Chrishara, we hadn't seen each other for quite some time and we needed to do some catching up + our nails, but we didn't really get to the second part, because of the importance of first part. :) I'm not sure if I have told you about her... (note to myself: Check all your posts!)

Then, after she ran to her class around 14h, I went to do some groceries and recieved a text from Marina, that there was a dinner planned for that night. YES! She got an internship in Ireland and that was farewell with all her friends.
I felt special. :D I did, because I was the only "white" one there.... Since, my sis' from another mother (must say it the rap way), has african roots and she lived in the Democratic Republic of Congo until she was 12 years old and moved to France. ... and most of her closest friends are also African... So, there I was, in the centre of everyones attencion, touristy white girl having an African experience. :) Food was great and there was a TV playing VHSs and African music and interview's .... taped! :D How awesome is that. I thought VHS was the item of antiques now! :)

The next day's dinnerparty at Alima's. Oh man, she cooks good!! I tried to memorise few of her awesome dishes, so when ever I'm having my dinnerparty I will be serving ya'all them goodies she made us! + Champange at her place - she loves it, she loves only the good stuff (since being a payed expert on that at the Ritz).... and until I met her... Yes, I didn't mind having a champange in every once in a while... but now, first choice! She has spoiled me. (Another reason to get into the school I want - to get the job I want more easily...earn sh**-loads of money and to be able to pay for the lifestyle I want to have...and more).. :)

On Thursday I had a meeting planned with Hilda, who is also awesome - her and her Sex and the City-like stories... :) She is the amusement, the meaning of the word, she is like the definition to it. :) True story!

So, afer a FUN week like that, on Friday, when I took the bus home. It was around 7ish... I slept in a bus. !!! :) I finally got the answer to the question, how come some people can sleep in the metro or a bus.... They are just soooooooo tired, as simple as that! Who would have guessed! :)

...but the reading - no idea how they do it!

Bonsoire!

The season of social life!

Since I managed to survive my rather exhausting week of finals at the ISC, working as much as possible, inbetween going to last classes and doing my final assignements and projects and presentations and.... I survived. :)
The worst thing that happened was my computer's charger breaking down! Just before all the deadlines. I cried! :D Therefore, I had one hell of a weekend - working in the mornings and working online on my schoolstuff until early hours after work...slept about 10 hours during 4 days. Because I had to give back the charger I got from school for the weekend. Oh my, oh my... Was I tired.
It was the weekend when they turned the time (nicely put, uh?) ... meaning that, when they turned clocks 1h at 3am in the morning. What happened was that I had to study, but I was way too tired for it, so I had an idea to wake up at 4am! Done and done!
So I woke up after snoozing my alarm a couple of times... made myself a hudge cup of coffeeeeee, opened my computer... and this was when I realized: My computer was 6am, estonian cell 5am and frency one 4am. How confusing is that! :)
I did what any other smartass would do - googled it! and it was 5 am! Bummer - I had lost 1h of valuable studying time!

OOOHHHH, another funny thing. And I'm 110% sure that some of you would say that if it happened to anyone, it would be me....or something like that. So, I had a french exa on 2nd April at 8am. I was working the day before, untli 5pm, meaning that I had exactly 15h to do my final effort. I studied until 23pm, tired and my beautiful little head felt like a football. As usual - sleep a little, feel fresh and go for it. So I set the alarm for 3am. When I woke up it was 8.10 am!!!!
Can you imagine me: having the World Record-fast shower (when I got to the point water was running, I was already closing it... almost getting dressed and doing my make-up the same time) ... IN case wondering....While being that late, why bother with the make-up! Well, I did tell you about the La Seduction - as simple as that! No woman shall leave the house looking crappy! :)
You can not belive how mad I was at myself. When the slow-motion elevator was going down and I was running towards the doors leading to the street....I was thinking: "Please, I hope that this could be just another funny story of my life one day!" Because, they are very strict here in what comes to things like that. Exams are big deal here and the bureauocracy that goes along with almost any official thing is amazing. Someone said that french wanted to be special - well in that field, they are...oh, yes, they are! :)
Lesson of the day was: No stress. Always doublecheck your alarm. Good communication skills are THE asset.
I got to take the exam with the next group an hour later.
:) So me, right! :) (Things still do happen to me) :)

Soooooo, back to my visitors. Firstly. Karina, Mariliis ja Laura already came and left. K & M said they liked it here (and to be honest, it's Paris....it's MY Paris they got a glimpse of---ofcourse they would love it...anyone would!!! Not to be nosy or anything, but I love my life here, I do).

Now, Kadi, my sweet-beautiful-smart cousin is coming from the South. And this is what Paris with her will be like:
+ some nice dinners and my favourite - vintage shopping at Hotel de Ville and St Paul ...Marais, Paris. :)

Then It's Gerlooooooo & Mait coming on the first weekend of May! Yay!
It will be something like that:
No, we will (most likely) not get body-paintings and pose of the rooftops... But the picture illustrates the idea of having a weekend out of the ordinary. There is no doubt in that. Can't wait to get Paris down with you guys. Gerlo - good thing here is that the OLD TOWN starts when I step out of the house... or actually, the house is rather old-townish.... so oh, it will be a blast! :)

AND! Then it's Räiluuuu, ma cherie! A week of full slightly classy sightseeing, gourmet brunches...going into depth with enjoying those small little pleasures of life. From the morning espresso&cigarette to the overall cognition of THE city and it's lifestyle.

Oh yeah! Can't wait for you to come. :)

Bisou-bisou. Greetings from Paris!

From Estonian to English

Since there is people who doesn't really speak Estonian, I'm switching to ENGLISH! And my dad, as it turned out, never read it anyways.. :D ...and most of my friends do speak english... There you go, English it is! How awesome is that! :)

Aitab Keskpärasusest: Sciences Po!

Lugupeetud lugejad

Vot selline kool! Aitab keskpärasusest!

Soovituskirjade eest tänan:
1. Toomas Alatalu - poliitik, ajaloolane, analüütik ja suurepärane õppejõud;
2. Dr Lehte Roots - Tallinna Tehnikaülikooli teadur ja Õigusinstituudi õppetooli hoidja ja suurepärane õppejõud;
3. Andrew Sharf - Editor-in-Chief of WCW INSIGHT; CEO of Wightfield Consulting Worldwide, London; Managing Diredtor of Mba4success Business Education News Network, London; and a great professor
4. Aksel Kirch

Et kõik oleks selge, siis ma pean mainima, et ma ise ei taha Prantsusmaa presidendiks saada, aga IMF'i president oleksin hea meelega.
And that's what I'm aiming for.

Christine Lagarde, praegune IMF'i president

Maria Jõgi, tulevane IMF'i president

Voilaa!
Bisous!

NB. Tänan Gerlot ka.
