Yes, having a social life is awesome!

For example, I never understood, firstly, people who could read a book (btw... no haiku, but a real novels) in the metro; secondly, people who sleep in the metro/bus.

Last week, having all week days' evenings fully booked:
Monday: WORK
Tuesday: Brunch with my lovely ex-roomie, Chrishara, and then Marina's farewell at a African restaurant.
Wednesday: WORK & 19h30 half-African dinnerparty (with plenty of CHAMPAGNE, like the hostess likes) at Alima's
Thursday: lunch and photo-taking trip with my canadian co-worker Hilda and 21h night out with her and her american friends at an Irish pub on St Michel
Friday: Tiny bit of work and photo taking at Marais + going through my favourite vintages (got kick-ass boots for 5eur...they had a sale!...best buy ever)
Saturday: Work & Lebanese dinner with Estelle & Elias
Sunday: Work and laundry and taking care of my place & myself.

I'll start from the beginning. Tuesday, Chrishara, we hadn't seen each other for quite some time and we needed to do some catching up + our nails, but we didn't really get to the second part, because of the importance of first part. :) I'm not sure if I have told you about her... (note to myself: Check all your posts!)

Then, after she ran to her class around 14h, I went to do some groceries and recieved a text from Marina, that there was a dinner planned for that night. YES! She got an internship in Ireland and that was farewell with all her friends.
I felt special. :D I did, because I was the only "white" one there.... Since, my sis' from another mother (must say it the rap way), has african roots and she lived in the Democratic Republic of Congo until she was 12 years old and moved to France. ... and most of her closest friends are also African... So, there I was, in the centre of everyones attencion, touristy white girl having an African experience. :) Food was great and there was a TV playing VHSs and African music and interview's .... taped! :D How awesome is that. I thought VHS was the item of antiques now! :)

The next day's dinnerparty at Alima's. Oh man, she cooks good!! I tried to memorise few of her awesome dishes, so when ever I'm having my dinnerparty I will be serving ya'all them goodies she made us! + Champange at her place - she loves it, she loves only the good stuff (since being a payed expert on that at the Ritz).... and until I met her... Yes, I didn't mind having a champange in every once in a while... but now, first choice! She has spoiled me. (Another reason to get into the school I want - to get the job I want more easily...earn sh**-loads of money and to be able to pay for the lifestyle I want to have...and more).. :)

On Thursday I had a meeting planned with Hilda, who is also awesome - her and her Sex and the City-like stories... :) She is the amusement, the meaning of the word, she is like the definition to it. :) True story!

So, afer a FUN week like that, on Friday, when I took the bus home. It was around 7ish... I slept in a bus. !!! :) I finally got the answer to the question, how come some people can sleep in the metro or a bus.... They are just soooooooo tired, as simple as that! Who would have guessed! :)

...but the reading - no idea how they do it!

Bonsoire!
